What You will need to name your pet in Minecraft…
1 x Name Tag
1 x Anvil
To begin with, you will need to place the anvil in front of you and right click on it. this will bring up the repair and name menu.
Once you have decided on a name, you can straightaway place the name tag into the first slot. You can then begin writing your name.
Following this, you can move your newly written name tag from the 3rd box into your inventory. It is important to note that this will cost 1 experience level.
The last step in is to stand in front of the your pet or the item you would like to name. Lastly, with the name tag selected in the hot bar, right click on the animal. Finally, you have now officially given a name to your pet in Minecraft!
